The Bos
Role
In this project my role was to make the boss AI and also SCRUM master. I was SCRUM master due to my experience with SCRUM and the inexperience of my teammates. The boss checks if the player is close or not, if the player is close it can choose to throw a root or slam the player. When far away the boss can decide to also shoot acorns towards you. In phase 2 the boss will be abled to do a combo on the slam but will not always go for the combo. Also the acorns will be different, in phase 1 it is like a shotgun, and in phase 2 the boss will shoot some acorns 1 by 1. In phase 2 the boss also gets a new attack in which it will lay down and roll towards you like a log.
Idea
For this game we had to create a boss battle. We wanted a boss with a story behind it. So, you are the kings guard, you will have to defend the town against an evil tree that wants retaliation for all the damage the town has done to their forest. You get a letter from the king and go to the boss called The Bos to go finish them once and for all.
Work Period
This project took 3 sprints 2 of which were 3 weeks, and 1 sprint of 2 weeks. We made this game in unity in a group of 4 developers.
